This was Miami Vice Sunday. There was a new fic and a new song vid. Which almost never happens. It was like Christmas.

I've been watching a lot of episodes and doing my recap posts, but I haven't been writing a lot because the dictation on the computer sucks. I keep having to fix things, and it's hard typing one handed. Plus, I haven’t got the hang of dictating my stories into the computer. It takes me longer than if I was able to type it. However, since I'm bored anyway, I should take this opportunity to dictate my Quantum Leap novel Dreamchaser into the computer so I can post it online. I wrote it before I had a computer and never transferred it over.

Oh man, I've realized that my profile is in need of a serious face-lift. I've got to add/edit interests and fandom lists, change some personal bits to reflect what I'm actually like and where I'm actually at now, and update my fic directory.

What song makes you feel better?
One Headlight by The Wallflowers. It's my jam. I get so hype whenever I hear it, not just because I love it and can't resist singing along, but because it takes me back to a very specific period in my life that makes me feel happy, safe, and nostalgic.

What is your go to comfort show?
The Dog House (There are UK and Australian versions). It's a reality show about pairing people with dogs at an animal rescue center.

What’s your favorite candle scent?
Hot Cocoa from Bath and Body Works

Who do you feel most like yourself around?
Blair. Also my friends James, Tina and Jess, who I have known for 25+ years.

What calms you down?
Curling up in bed with my favorite blanket and closing my eyes for a bit. Hugs from Blair. Favorite snacks.

What's something upcoming that you’re excited for?
My birthday! Blair has said she's taking me somewhere, but I don't know where. My work has also given me the day off, paid.

Have you ever written or received a love letter?
Yes, both. It comes with the territory of being in a lot of long-distance relationships.

Tea, Coffee, or hot cocoa?
Tea all year, hot chocolate during colder months. I never drink coffee because I hate the taste, and also because my stomach will punish me severely for ingesting it.

How many pillows do you sleep with?
One. It's a rectangle pillow for side-sleepers.

Do you have a comfort book? Which one?
Probably Luck in the Shadows, I have read it SO many times.

Having some cardamom cinnamon tea. I feel like going to the movies again today but I've already seen Project Hail Mary (and it was awesome!) and there isn't anything else playing around I want to see. I miss the revival theaters. There used to be great revival theaters around here. There's this one bookstore I didn't get to on Indie Bookstore day, maybe they'll have something I want. I also need to call my mother for Mother's day.

I have a massive amount of fics from a massive number of fandoms in my WIP folder (94 fics in 34 fandoms... and yes, I do have a separate bunnies folder for fics that haven't been written at all yet), many of which haven't been worked on literally over a decade. But they do have somewhat descriptive names, at least in regards to fandom and pairing! So hopefully that'll make it easier for people to pick ones that intrigue them :)

Also, fyi for those who are bothered by it, there is a lot of HP.

What song makes you feel better?

Heaven is a Place on Earth, by Belinda Carlisle. It was a very meaningful song to me back in the 80s when it came out, so it always makes me smile when I hear it (those were also the best times of my life). In fact, I think I'll go listen to it now.

What is your go to comfort show?
Right now, I am hurt, stressed and depressed and needing something to soothe me at bedtime. I looked at all my choices and came up with one show that could lift my mood the best: Destination Truth. So, I know that is definitely my #1 go-to show when I need something on in the background to distract me and soothe me.

What’s your favorite candle scent?

Pumpkin Spice/any autumn spice scent

Who do you feel most like yourself around?

Me, myself, and I

What calms you down?

Chocolate milkshakes. That's the cure for what ails you. That’s my drug and the quickest way to make me feel better. It's like magic. Also, watching episodes of my favorite TV show, which is currently Miami Vice.

What's something upcoming that you’re excited for?

The premiere of Good Omens 3, which is coming on Wednesday.

Have you ever written or received a love letter?

No. I love romance in my fandom ships, but in real life not so much.

Coffee, only because it's the thing I drink the most of and most regularly.

How many pillows do you sleep with?

2 but I usually only use one. The other stays at my side just in case. Sometimes I will swap out which one I want to use. One of them is a memory foam pillow and the other one is a cervical contour pillow. That one really worked great when I first got it, really helped me be more comfortable and sleep better. It's old now so I need to replace it but can't afford to.

Do you have a comfort book? Which one?

No.
